FAQs / Help

Is there parking?

There is parking on site. Pitsford and Brampton Station is behind the Brampton Halt pub. To avoid parking in the pub car park follow the road to the back of the pub and head straight up through the gates. The car park is then round to the left.

Disabled parking is available.

See our How to Find Us page for directions.

I booked online. Where are my tickets?

Don’t Panic. Print of the receipt you received from the website at purchase. This will contain all the details needed for your day. On arrival show the print out or the email on your phone and tablet and our station staff will show you the way from there.

I am trying to book a ticket for today but I can not see it?

Some bookings like Santa Specials and Cream Teas require our volunteers to prepare and we need to turn off bookings the day before to allow us to do this.

These types of bookings are closed at 18:00 the day before the event.

What time do I need to arrive for my train?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes (not more than 30 minutes) before your train is due to depart. Train will leave at the advertised times. Refunds will not be issued if you miss your train ride. We shall do our best to accommodate you on another train if room is available (this can not be guaranteed).

How long will the train ride take?

You travel on the train along the one and half miles of the Northampton & Lamport Railway  through the Northamptonshire countryside. As we currently have only one station, all services are ‘out and back’, which means you alight the train in the same place that your boarded.

Your ride on the train lasts about 30 minutes leaving from Pitsford & Brampton Station located between the two villages behind the Brampton Halt Public House.

Can a wheelchair user travel on the train?

Yes, a wheelchair ramp is available for the user to join the train

Can I take my dog on the train?

Yes, dogs are allowed to travel on our trains as long as there is no food being served (except assistance dogs) in that coach.

We request that dogs are kept on leads at all times on our stations and trains for safety reasons and that dogs do not sit on the seats.
