What to expect:

  • Free travel for Serving Armed Forces, Emergency Workers on production of Service ID and Blue Light Card Holders.

  • A traditional return steam train ride through the Northamptonshire countryside.

  • A Souvenir Shop selling a wide range of gifts, books, toys and other goods.

  • The "Platform 3 Buffet" serving hot/cold drinks, snacks and freshly prepared hot food.

  • There are Public Houses next to the Pitsford & Brampton and Boughton Stations to visit before or after your train ride

  • Also, enjoy a walk along the Brampton Valley Way next to the stations.

  • And parking is free.

Booking Information:

  • The Accessibility Compartment can accommodate 1 wheelchair and 2 Companions/Carers or 4 persons seated with no wheelchair.  Please contact enquiries@nlr.org.uk for further details.
  • Pushchairs can be safely stored on the station during your train ride.

  • Tickets can be booked in advance or purchased on the day dependent upon availability and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

  • All tickets are for timed return train rides only; Rover Tickets are not available for the Accessibility/Wheelchair Compartment.

Dogs:

  • Dogs are very welcome at the NLR, provided they are well behaved. You can take your dog on the train too, except for the Cream Teas, Fish & Chips, Cheese & Cider and  Breakfast with Santa Events in the first class coach. (assistance dogs are accepted). We simply ask that all dog owners clean up any ‘accidents’ and also your dog does not sit on the coach seats.
