• The whole family, including your dog or cat, will get to meet Santa on the station platform and in his grotto, where you’ll sing Christmas Carols and your kids along with your dog or cat will each get a special present.

• The station and train coaches will be decorated in a classic style, bringing the festive season’s charm to life.

• Experience a nostalgic train ride in a cosy 1960s steam-era coach, pulled by a heritage diesel locomotive through the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside.

• Enjoy free of charge during your train ride, sherry, soft drinks, mince pies and sweet treats, together with fruit shoots for kids. 

• Pay a visit to our Souvenir Shop at the station, where you'll find a wide selection of gifts, books, toys, and other charming items.

• Drop into the Pitsford and Brampton Station's "Platform 3 Buffet" offering a range of hot and cold drinks, tasty snacks, and freshly made hot food.

• Why not pop into the Public House located next to the Pitsford & Brampton station for a pre- or post-ride treat?

• Take a pleasant stroll along the Brampton Valley Way, right next to the station.

• Enjoy complimentary parking at the Pitsford and Brampton Station.

Important Booking Information:

• It is essential you book tickets on line as they will not be available on the day.

• Could you let us know if your dog is small, medium, or large so we can make sure they get the right gift from Santa? (If you plan to bring your cat along, please make sure they’re okay around lots of dogs at the station and on the train).

• Also, to help Santa pick the perfect present for your child, please share each child’s age and gender when you book. Infants who don’t get a present can travel for free, but those who do will be charged.

• The Accessibility Compartment can accommodate one wheelchair, one carer and one companion or four persons seated with no wheelchair. Please contact enquiries@nlr.org.uk if you require any further help.

• Adult carers accompanying a wheelchair user or an additional needs customer (up to 1 carer per wheelchair user or additional needs customer) are kindly requested to provide a Northamptonshire Carers Card or a suitable equivalent for verification purposes.

• Pushchairs can be safely stored at the station while you enjoy and experience your train ride.

• Please be aware that there are no toilet facilities on the train itself. However, they are conveniently located at the Pitsford & Brampton Station where disabled toilet facilities are available.

• Rover, NLRPS & CIO Members Discount, Heritage Railway Association (HRA), Blue Light Card Holders, Serving Forces and Privilege Travel Card Holders (BR Staff Travel) tickets are not available for this event.

• A polite reminder to keep your dog on a short-leash and ensure that your dog or cat do not sit on the coach seats.
